01 Service

Most companies have automation opportunities hiding in plain sight: someone downloading reports to re-upload them, a form that becomes an email that becomes a spreadsheet row, invoices typed from PDFs that arrived as data in the first place.

We find those, quantify them in hours, and automate the ones worth automating. Sometimes AI is the right tool — extracting structured data from unstructured documents, classifying enquiries, drafting responses. Often a scheduled job is better, cheaper and more predictable, and we will say so.

02 What changes

Hours returned to the team

Measured before and after, so the saving is a number rather than a feeling.

Fewer transcription errors

Data moved by software does not mistype a quantity or skip a line.

Processes that run unattended

Overnight, at month end, and while everyone is on holiday.

03 Common questions

Where should we start with automation?

With whatever is both frequent and rule-based. We usually begin with a short audit that lists candidate processes, the hours each consumes and the effort to automate — then you choose based on payback, not on what sounds impressive.

Is AI actually useful here, or is it hype?

Both, depending on the task. It is genuinely good at extracting structure from messy documents, classification and summarising. It is a poor choice for anything requiring deterministic accuracy, like calculating an invoice total. We use it where it is the right tool and conventional code everywhere else.

Will automation replace staff?

In our experience it removes the parts of a job people dislike — re-keying, chasing, reconciling — rather than the job. The business case is normally capacity, not headcount reduction.
